Teaching Assistant – to start January 2024
We are looking to appoint a committed professional to the role of Teaching Assistant at an outstanding Church of England School based in Greenford, Ealing. The school was opened in 2013 and is part of a wider will known trust in West London. Its GCSE results place it within the top 5% of schools nationally. The school is founded on the successful systems and approaches of the trust, with the principle difference that it is a distinctively Christian school with open admission criteria. The school is rated ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted (June 2015) and SIAMS (October 2016) and is oversubscribed on first choice applicants.
About the Role:
Teaching Assistants are required to support students in Years 7 – 11 with statements of Special Education Need, and to take the lead responsibility for students with learning and behavioural difficulties.
- Recent experience of working with secondary age children
- A sensible attitude, with the ability to be flexible, reflective and find solutions
- Energy and enthusiasm
- A commitment to the ethos of the school
All applications are welcome however these roles may particularly suit graduates hoping to progress to School Direct teacher training, PGCE, Educational Psychologist or Speech and Language Therapist. The Trust includes the Teach West London, the largest teacher training provider in the UK and is therefore extremely well placed to support training and development for beginning teachers.
Roles are up to 35 hours per week however part-time applications can be considered, particularly for three or four days per week. Exact hours per week will be discussed and agreed at interview and the salary will therefore be a pro rata figure according to the hours worked.
