This is an exciting opportunity to join Langdon Park School and play a role in delivering our Mathematics curriculum. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, motivated, inspirational teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning. The successful candidate will be welcomed into a highly supportive and collaborative team. Our aim is to build student procedural efficiency, alongside reasoning and problem solving ability, all firmly based on deepening conceptual understanding, while also developing your ability to successfully teach mixed attainment mathematics and A Level. Our successful sixth form also means we have a growing number of students taking A Level and we are proud of our innovative approach to A Level teaching. We insist on all staff teaching at KS3, KS4 and at least working towards teaching at KS5. Progress has been significant over the last few years—GCSE results are improving and post-16 outcomes are now above national averages, as is attendance; we are over-subscribed and enjoy the full support of our families and the community; our students are a proud, loyal and well behaved; our sixth form has doubled in size in the last four years with successful Oxbridge applicants in the last two years. Langdon Park School has served the community for well over 100 years. We enjoy a large campus comprised of both original Victorian buildings and state of the art new builds.
