Job description

This "Good" school in Staffordshire is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work within a Reception class mornings only 5 days a week. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting children with varying needs to access the curriculum. In this role, you will be required to support small groups of children with focus work, child-led learning activities, interventions, and 1:1 support if needed. About the Role: - Assist the class teacher in delivering the curriculum and supporting children's learning - Work with small groups of children to provide targeted support and interventions - Support children with their personal, social, and emotional development - Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment - Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement engaging lessons and activities - Provide 1:1 support to children with additional needs, ensuring their individual needs are met - Assist with the assessment and tracking of children's progress Requirements: - Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting - Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues - Patience, empathy, and understanding - Knowledge of the primary curriculum and teaching methods - Ability to adapt and respond to the individual needs of children - Reliable and punctual Qualifications: - Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification - GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above) At Zen Educate, we believe in providing teachers and teaching assistants with the support they need to thrive in their roles.
