This supportive and welcoming SEND provision is looking for 2 TAs to join their team at the Openshaw site. You will be working with a cohort of KS3 and KS4 pupils, all of whom have been referred from mainstream school and need further SEN support. The school also works to support across the board with SEMH, offer wrap around care for their vulnerable students.
To be successful in this role you will need to have a clear passion for working with vulnerable students to help them achieve both academic and vocational goals. You will need to be calm and measured in your approach and you will face some challenging behaviour, so resilience is very important. The school have said that they are not necessarily looking for experience, but they want someone who is keen to get involved, is motivated and can work independently when required.
The school would like two people to start on supply initially, but their goal is to take these staff on permanently before the end of the academic year.
