Our pupil referral unit in Newham is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced English teacher to join our team. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a few years of teaching experience and possess knowledge of AQA English Language. This is a full-time position for the first term, with the possibility of extension for the rest of the academic year based on our staffing requirements. About the Role: - Delivering high-quality English lessons to pupils in our pupil referral unit - Creating engaging and interactive lesson plans tailored to meet the individual needs of our students - Assessing and monitoring students' progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies for improvement - Collaborating with other teachers and support staff to develop a supportive and inclusive learning environment - Participating in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities Requirements: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK - Experience teaching English, preferably within a pupil referral unit or alternative provision setting - Knowledge of AQA English Language curriculum - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and parents - Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs - Patience, resilience, and a commitment to supporting the educational and emotional well-being of our students At Zen Educate, we understand the importance of a healthy work-life balance for teachers and teaching assistants.
