Supportive primary school is looking for a SEN TA to work with two pupils in upper Ks2.
You will be based in a Year 5 classroom where you will support two children with Autism (a boy and a girl) alongside their peers. You will ensure that the pupils can integrate as fully as possible in the activities generally undertaken by the other children in the class and make progress.
Duties will include running specific programmes and activities to assist the pupils’ individual learning and social needs. The LSA will be responsible for implementing the targets on the pupils’ Individual Education Plan (IEP) in liaison with the class teacher and the Speech and language therapist.
Are you experienced in supporting children with Autism? Are you able to model, prompt and support children to make progress regardless of the barriers they may face? Are you understanding of Autistic meltdowns? If so, we would love to meet you and invite you for a trial?
