Role Name: SEN School Teaching Assistant
We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a Secondary school based in Stockport. This school caters to young people who have identified Social, Emotional or mental Health issues where you will be working on a 1-2-1 or 2-2-1 basis.
This role requires someone with a strong background in working with SEN students with an opportunity for this position to become a permanent for the right person.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will have the chance to support the pupils at alternative provisions and take them out to engage in social activities such as pool, local parks, and the John Muir Project. Access to a vehicle is paramount for this role.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a similar role, preferably within an SEN school or with students with SEMH needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on a 1-2-1 or 2-2-1 basis with challenging pupils
- Access to a vehicle for transporting pupils to alternative provisions and social activities
