We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 class at our 1 form entry Church of England Primary school in Walshaw, Bury. The successful candidate will have a passion for education and the ability to engage and support children in their learning.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom management and activities
Working with individual or small groups of children who require additional support
Providing feedback to the class teacher on the progress of individual children
Supporting children with additional needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities
Helping to prepare classroom resources and materials
Assisting with the planning and delivery of lessons
Contributing to the overall ethos of the school and promoting a positive learning environment
Communicating effectively with parents and carers
Requirements:
Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a primary school setting
Good communication and interpersonal skills
An understanding of the national curriculum and educational practices
A commitment to providing high-quality support to children
A willingness to work as part of a team and support the wider school community
A positive and proactive attitude towards work
An understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children
This is a full-time, fixed-term role until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will be required to work approximately 35 hours per week, during term time only.
