Job description

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill our Lead Teacher Role in our preschool classroom for 6-8 weeks, with the potential for other opportunities. We are a small, licensed center located within a larger long-term care facility, providing opportunities for students and residents to participate together in intergenerational activities through both formal and informal interactions. This person will be responsible for leading our preschool classroom (approximately 10-12 students ages 3-5) , alongside our assistant teacher and classroom aide, while our current teacher is on leave.

This center in New Hope is a licensed childcare center located within Health and Rehab facility. Our center serves children ages 6 weeks through their first day of kindergarten, focusing on promoting each child's development through partnership with their families, honoring and celebrating each families' unique set of values. Our children benefit from daily interactions with caregivers and residents living at the Health and Rehab, increasing their confidence and acceptance of others of all ages and abilities. Our preschool-age children participate in weekly intergenerational activities, in partnership with our Adult Daycare Program, creating a unique experience that benefits all participants! Our center has one classroom for each age-group that is led by a team of experienced, knowledgeable, and professional teachers. What roles do you cover?

We help Teachers, Teachers Assistants, Teachers Aides, and Paraprofessionals find work. We work with all types of schools and help with short-term, long-term, and permanent roles. Many of our long-term roles convert to permanent roles. We make it far easier than a traditional agency for teachers to convert temporary positions into permanent ones.

Do you have early childhood or K-12 roles?

Yes. We can help with daily subbing and long-term jobs in nurseries, primary schools and secondary schools. We don't typically have jobs in higher education or college.

What areas do you cover?

We work with over 500 schools in Minneapolis St Paul - Minnesota, Denver - Colorado, Los Angeles - California and Phoenix - Arizona, San Diego California, The Bay Area California

Do you have school administrator roles?

If you're looking for teaching or teaching assistant roles, and would also be interested in admin roles, it's worth letting us know. If you're only looking for admin roles, we might not be the place for you as this isn't what we specialize in.

Do you provide any training for teachers?

Yes, we have educators on staff who offer expertise and training to Zen Educate teachers. Regions vary in the training sessions that are required / offered.

How is Zen Educate different from a recruitment agency?

Zen Educate is a technology platform to connect teachers with schools directly. Agencies are an expensive middleman between schools and teachers. They have to charge high commissions because their booking procedures are largely manual and run on outdated systems. Because we run more of the process online or on your phone, we create an experience that matches schools and teachers at a fraction of the cost.

What documents do I need to provide in the vetting process?

We'll need a photo for professional use, resume, and a document reflecting your highest level of education. In addition, we'll need a right to work and background check. Your region or school may require other training or documentation - our recruitment team will guide you through each step!

I don't have all of my documents ready now. Can I still apply?
