Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team at Djanogly Strelley Academy, located in Nottingham. The successful candidate will work full-time within our primary school, primarily supporting our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision, helping to create a stimulating and caring setting where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This position is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood development and aligned with our ethos of fostering respect, curiosity, and resilience in every learner. The role is available immediately and will be ongoing, subject to the needs of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum in line with the school's educational principles, ensuring activities are tailored to meet the developmental needs of individual children.
- Assist the class teacher with planning, preparing, and organising learning activities that promote curiosity, independence, and a love of learning.
- Provide 1:1 support for children with additional learning needs, working closely with colleagues and specialists to implement personalised strategies.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that reflects the school's values of respect, resilience, and responsibility.
- Support children's social and emotional development through nurturing interactions and behaviour management strategies consistent with school policies.
- Assist with the supervision of children during break times, lunchtimes, and other activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Contribute to the assessment and recording of children's progress, helping to inform planning and future learning objectives.
- Foster strong relationships with children, staff, and parents to support the holistic development of each learner.
