Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (Both Part Time and Full Time option available) This lovely school based in North Solihull is seeking a part-time or full-time Teaching Assistant to support a child on a reduced timetable. The child needs support with SEMH, in particular regulating their emotions. The child attends school every morning, and the successful candidate must be available for 5 mornings a week. There is the option of full-time if preferred, supporting 1:1 during the morning and throughout the school during the afternoons. About the Role: - Supporting a child with SEMH needs on a reduced timetable - Assisting the child in regulating their emotions and managing their behavior - Providing 1:1 support during morning sessions - Supporting throughout the school during the afternoons (for full time option) - Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to develop individualized strategies for the child's progress - Assisting with classroom management and creating a positive learning environment Requirements: - Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is desirable - Strong understanding of emotional regulation strategies - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with children - A genuine passion for education and supporting children's development Qualifications: - Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable - Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting - Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding practices and policies - Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one At Zen Educate, we prioritize the well-being and satisfaction of our teachers and teaching assistants.
