Job description

Zen Educate is seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive Exams Officer to manage all aspects of the examinations process within the school. This is a key administrative role ensuring the smooth running of both internal and external examinations, in line with awarding body regulations and school policies. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, organise and manage all internal and external exams, including GCSEs and mocks - Liaise with exam boards, staff, students, and invigilators to ensure all exam procedures are correctly followed - Manage exam entries and results using appropriate data systems - Recruit, train, and manage a team of invigilators - Ensure compliance with all JCQ regulations and school policies - Maintain accurate and secure records relating to exam entries, attendance, and results - Coordinate the distribution of examination certificates and results to students Person Specification: Essential: - Experience in administration or a similar role - Excellent organisational and time-management skills - High level of accuracy and attention to detail - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and school data systems (e.g., SIMS or Arbor) - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Desirable: - Previous experience as an Exams Officer or within a school environment Why Join Zen Educate? How do I interview? Do I have to come to your office?

To make sure you're getting bookings perfect for you, we will invite you to a 30-minute online interview with our team to learn about your experience, preferences and why you're passionate about working in education. You can do this through any smartphone or computer. If you'd prefer to interview in person at our office, just let us know. Recent regulation changes require us to see your documents for your right to work in the UK in person. This takes no more than 5 minutes, dropping by our offices in London or Manchester.

What documents will I need to provide?

We'll need evidence of your identity, right to work and teaching qualifaction. In addition, we'll need an enhanced DBS certificate and references from two recent previous employers.

Can you apply for a DBS for me?

Yes. If you need a DBS or your DBS needs updating we can apply for one fore you. The cost of a DBS is £47.20 which we will reimburse once you have worked 10 days through Zen.

Yes. We can help with daily supply and long-term jobs in nurseries, primary schools and secondary schools. We don't typically have jobs in further education or college.

Do you have work for cover supervisors, invigilators, or school administrators?
