Main Purpose of the Role
To provide high-quality teaching and learning experiences that enable all pupils to achieve their full potential academically, socially, emotionally, and personally. The teacher will create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment, promote positive behaviour, and contribute to the wider life of the school.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the requirements of the National Curriculum.
Set high expectations for all pupils and support them to make good or better progress.
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND, EAL, and higher-attaining pupils.
Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support effective learning.
Assess, record, and monitor pupil progress and attainment accurately.
Provide constructive feedback to pupils to support their development and achievement.
Maintain accurate records of assessment and achievement.
Classroom Management
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Establish and maintain high standards of behaviour and conduct.
Implement the school's behaviour policy consistently and fairly.

Essential Qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Degree-level qualification or equivalent.
Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Essential Knowledge and Experience
Knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices.
Understanding of assessment for learning and pupil progress monitoring.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Understanding of inclusive education and strategies to support diverse learning needs.
Experience of teaching within a primary school setting (or successful teaching placements for ECTs).

Ability to inspire and motivate pupils.
