An SEN school near Croydon is looking for a TA ideally with a background in construction to work 4 days a week - (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) with their students who have SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. This role will be working in a KS5 group with a female TA. Previous SEMH experience is a MUST.
About the Role:
- Support students with SEMH needs in a KS5 group
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Help students with their social, emotional, and mental health development
- Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance
- Monitor and record student progress
- Collaborate with other teaching staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students who have SEMH needs is essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and understanding towards students with additional needs
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of teachers and support staff
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of students
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are desirable but not essential
