SEN Teaching Assistant to support at an OUTSTANDING SEN school.
About the Role:
- Full-time position available at a SEN school located in Hackney.
- The role requires someone who is consistent, positive but firm, and very active.
- As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the class in various activities and tasks.
- You will work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to create a positive learning environment for the students.
- The role also requires attending Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions for 1 hour every Tuesday after school.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a SEN school or with SEN students is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to effectively support the students.
- Patience and empathy towards students with special educational needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of the students.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent).
- Additional qualifications or training related to SEN is a plus.
