We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate full-time teacher to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit in East London. The successful candidate will work with students who have been referred to our school for a variety of reasons, including challenging behaviour and social, emotional, and mental health needs. Responsibilities may include: Delivering high-quality teaching and learning to KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring that they make progress in their education and achieve their potential. Creating and implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans for students in collaboration with the wider team. Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing regular feedback to students and their families. Engaging in professional development opportunities and attending regular team meetings. Requirements: - QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent qualification. - Must be experienced in working in tough PRU environments and with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. - Knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum and how to differentiate and adapt it for students with SEND. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families. - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. - Resilience and a positive attitude towards challenging behaviour.
