About the role:
- Full-time position as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a SEN school located in Newham
- Supporting Year 7, 9 or 10 students with social, emotional, and mental health needs

A secondary TA is needed to support in a specialised school support at a special school for pupils with social, emotional, behavioural and mental health needs. The school caters for pupils from Years 1 to Year 11 on a brand new purpose build site.
About the Role:
- You will work closely with teachers to provide one-on-one or small group support to students, assisting with their academic progress and personal development.
- Your role will involve implementing individual education plans, managing behavior, and providing pastoral care to students.
- This is a full-time position, and you will be expected to work regular school hours.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a similar role within a sen-school or special education setting is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of social, emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs in children and young people.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
- A patient and caring nature, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and provide emotional support.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be advantageous.
