About the Role:
We are currently seeking a Full Time Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school located in Westminster. This role involves working as a SEN TA, providing 1:1 support to a year 4 boy with ASD and Autism. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping the student excel academically and socially.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly ASD and Autism
- Knowledge of effective strategies and techniques to support children with ASD and Autism
- Ability to build a positive and supportive relationship with the student
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and understanding towards the specific needs of the student
- Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions from the class teacher
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards education and the development of young learners
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Additional qualifications or training related to special educational needs is highly desirable
