About the Role:
- Assist teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons to SEN students
- Provide individual support to students with special educational needs
- Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Support students with personal care, including feeding and toileting, if necessary
- Assist in managing challenging behavior and implementing behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the development and progress of students
- Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of students' progress
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities provided by the school
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications and experience working with children with special educational needs
- Knowledge of different learning difficulties and strategies to support students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and understanding towards students with diverse needs
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students
- A valid and up-to-date DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
