1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant in Learning Difficulty Provision - Fixed Term Contract - Full Time
Zen Educate is currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Primary Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Salford on a full-time basis. This role is specifically for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant in the school's Learning Difficulties provision and is offered as a fixed-term contract until August 2024, with potential to go permanent.
About the Role:
- Working closely with a student with special educational needs, providing one-on-one support and guidance
- Assisting with the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
- Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Monitoring and tracking student progress, providing regular feedback to the teacher and parents
- Supporting the student's social and emotional development, fostering positive relationships and promoting independence
- Creating and adapting resources to meet the student's individual learning needs
- Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in SEN education
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly in a primary school setting
- Strong knowledge and understanding of different learning difficulties and strategies to support students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting students with additional needs
- Flexibility and adaptability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required
- A valid DBS certificate registered with the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Zen Educate
