About the Role: We are looking for a compassionate and patient 1:1 Special Education Aide to join the team at a supportive middle school community in Bonita. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring a student with unique learning needs feels supported, understood, and capable of success. You will be working specifically within an ASDI (Autism Spectrum Disorder) classroom, creating a safe and consistent environment where your student can thrive socially and academically. This is an opportunity to make a tangible difference in a student's life every single day. Responsibilities: Provide dedicated 1:1 support to an assigned student, assisting with focus, task completion, and transitions throughout the school day. Implement strategies to support the student’s social and emotional growth, utilizing positive reinforcement and patience. Assist the classroom teacher in adapting lessons or activities to meet the student's specific needs and IEP goals. Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment by modeling appropriate behaviors and social interactions. Communicate effectively with the lead teacher and school staff regarding the student’s progress and daily challenges. What roles do you cover?

We help Teachers, Teachers Assistants, Teachers Aides, and Paraprofessionals find work. We work with all types of schools and help with short-term, long-term, and permanent roles. Many of our long-term roles convert to permanent roles. We make it far easier than a traditional agency for teachers to convert temporary positions into permanent ones.

Do you have early childhood or K-12 roles?

Yes. We can help with daily subbing and long-term jobs in nurseries, primary schools and secondary schools. We don't typically have jobs in higher education or college.

What areas do you cover?

We work with over 500 schools in Minneapolis St Paul - Minnesota, Denver - Colorado, Los Angeles - California and Phoenix - Arizona, San Diego California, The Bay Area California

Do you have school administrator roles?

If you're looking for teaching or teaching assistant roles, and would also be interested in admin roles, it's worth letting us know. If you're only looking for admin roles, we might not be the place for you as this isn't what we specialize in.

Do you provide any training for teachers?

Yes, we have educators on staff who offer expertise and training to Zen Educate teachers. Regions vary in the training sessions that are required / offered.

How is Zen Educate different from a recruitment agency?

Zen Educate is a technology platform to connect teachers with schools directly. Agencies are an expensive middleman between schools and teachers. They have to charge high commissions because their booking procedures are largely manual and run on outdated systems. Because we run more of the process online or on your phone, we create an experience that matches schools and teachers at a fraction of the cost.

What documents do I need to provide in the vetting process?

We'll need a photo for professional use, resume, and a document reflecting your highest level of education. In addition, we'll need a right to work and background check. Your region or school may require other training or documentation - our recruitment team will guide you through each step!
