Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and highly qualified Charter Paraprofessional to join our school community in the Montbello neighborhood of Denver County. This full-time role is essential to supporting an elementary-age student who is transitioning between our K-2nd Multi-Intensive Autism center-based classroom and general education settings. The ideal candidate will uphold our school's inclusive and compassionate ethos, ensuring that every student receives the tailored support they need to succeed. This position is integral to fostering an environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, in alignment with our commitment to equity, respect, and personalized learning. The role is available immediately and will continue through the current school year. Key Responsibilities: - Provide one-on-one support to an elementary-age student with autism, assisting with behavioral management, communication, and daily classroom activities, in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs). - Support the student’s successful transition between specialized and general education classrooms, ensuring smooth integration and continuity of learning. - Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to implement behavioral strategies and accommodations that promote positive behavior and engagement. - Assist with classroom management by maintaining a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that aligns with the school's values of respect, inclusion, and student-centered learning. - Support the implementation of instructional activities tailored to the student’s needs, adapting materials and approaches as directed by teachers. - Monitor and document student progress, behavioral incidents, and responses to interventions, maintaining accurate records in compliance with school policies. - Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to stay informed of best practices in supporting students with diverse needs. - Promote a respectful and inclusive classroom culture that celebrates diversity and fosters a sense of belonging for all students. - Assist in supervising students during transitions, recess, and other non-instructional times to ensure safety and positive social interactions. - Uphold confidentiality and maintain professional communication with colleagues and families to support the student’s overall well-being and educational progress. Roles

What roles do you cover?

We help Teachers, Teachers Assistants, Teachers Aides, and Paraprofessionals find work. We work with all types of schools and help with short-term, long-term, and permanent roles. Many of our long-term roles convert to permanent roles. We make it far easier than a traditional agency for teachers to convert temporary positions into permanent ones.

Do you have early childhood or K-12 roles?

Yes. We can help with daily subbing and long-term jobs in nurseries, primary schools and secondary schools. We don't typically have jobs in higher education or college.

What areas do you cover?

We work with over 500 schools in Minneapolis St Paul - Minnesota, Denver - Colorado, Los Angeles - California and Phoenix - Arizona, San Diego California, The Bay Area California

Do you have school administrator roles?

If you're looking for teaching or teaching assistant roles, and would also be interested in admin roles, it's worth letting us know. If you're only looking for admin roles, we might not be the place for you as this isn't what we specialize in.

Do you provide any training for teachers?

Yes, we have educators on staff who offer expertise and training to Zen Educate teachers. Regions vary in the training sessions that are required / offered.

General

How is Zen Educate different from a recruitment agency?

Zen Educate is a technology platform to connect teachers with schools directly. Agencies are an expensive middleman between schools and teachers. They have to charge high commissions because their booking procedures are largely manual and run on outdated systems. Because we run more of the process online or on your phone, we create an experience that matches schools and teachers at a fraction of the cost.

What documents do I need to provide in the vetting process?

We'll need a photo for professional use, resume, and a document reflecting your highest level of education. In addition, we'll need a right to work and background check. Your region or school may require other training or documentation - our recruitment team will guide you through each step!
