Summary: We are seeking a dedicated District Paraprofessional to join our team within a district elementary school, supporting the LIFT program. This full-time role is an essential part of our commitment to providing a nurturing and inclusive educational environment aligned with our school's core values of respect, collaboration, and student-centered learning. The position is based in Johnson County and will run throughout the academic year, with the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to students' growth and development through targeted support and classroom assistance. Key Responsibilities: - Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students enrolled in the LIFT program, assisting with instructional activities tailored to their individual needs. - Support classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and maintaining a positive learning environment consistent with the school's emphasis on respect and inclusivity. - Assist students with academic tasks, social skills, and behavior management strategies to promote their engagement and success. - Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure students' needs are met effectively. - Support the integration of students with diverse learning needs, fostering a respectful and supportive classroom culture aligned with the school's values. - Help facilitate a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and independence. - Participate in professional development activities and team meetings to stay informed about best practices in special education and foster continuous improvement. - Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and support activities in accordance with district and school policies. Roles

What roles do you cover?

We help Teachers, Teachers Assistants, Teachers Aides, and Paraprofessionals find work. We work with all types of schools and help with short-term, long-term, and permanent roles. Many of our long-term roles convert to permanent roles. We make it far easier than a traditional agency for teachers to convert temporary positions into permanent ones.

Do you have early childhood or K-12 roles?

Yes. We can help with daily subbing and long-term jobs in nurseries, primary schools and secondary schools. We don't typically have jobs in higher education or college.

What areas do you cover?

We work with over 500 schools in Minneapolis St Paul - Minnesota, Denver - Colorado, Los Angeles - California and Phoenix - Arizona, San Diego California, The Bay Area California

Do you have school administrator roles?

If you're looking for teaching or teaching assistant roles, and would also be interested in admin roles, it's worth letting us know. If you're only looking for admin roles, we might not be the place for you as this isn't what we specialize in.

Do you provide any training for teachers?

Yes, we have educators on staff who offer expertise and training to Zen Educate teachers. Regions vary in the training sessions that are required / offered.

How is Zen Educate different from a recruitment agency?

Zen Educate is a technology platform to connect teachers with schools directly. Agencies are an expensive middleman between schools and teachers. They have to charge high commissions because their booking procedures are largely manual and run on outdated systems. Because we run more of the process online or on your phone, we create an experience that matches schools and teachers at a fraction of the cost.

What documents do I need to provide in the vetting process?

We'll need a photo for professional use, resume, and a document reflecting your highest level of education. In addition, we'll need a right to work and background check. Your region or school may require other training or documentation - our recruitment team will guide you through each step!
