Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Male Paraprofessional to join our district team in Maricopa County, supporting a male high school student in a community-based classroom setting. This full-time role is integral to our school's mission of fostering inclusive, supportive, and student-centered learning environments that empower students to reach their full potential. The successful candidate will work Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM, with a late start on Wednesdays, ensuring consistent and reliable support for the student’s educational and social development. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a district committed to equity, respect, and fostering positive relationships within the school community. Key Responsibilities: - Provide one-on-one support to a male high school student, maintaining engagement and helping the student stay focused on classroom activities. - Assist in redirecting the student during social interactions to promote positive social skills and appropriate behavior. - Support the student in following daily routines and classroom expectations in accordance with district policies and the school’s commitment to creating a nurturing environment. - Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other support personnel to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies. - Monitor and document the student’s progress, behavior, and participation to inform ongoing support and communicate effectively with relevant staff. - Assist with classroom management and ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students. - Support the integration of the student into various activities, fostering independence and social interactions aligned with district and school values. What roles do you cover?

We help Teachers, Teachers Assistants, Teachers Aides, and Paraprofessionals find work. We work with all types of schools and help with short-term, long-term, and permanent roles. Many of our long-term roles convert to permanent roles. We make it far easier than a traditional agency for teachers to convert temporary positions into permanent ones.

Do you have early childhood or K-12 roles?

Yes. We can help with daily subbing and long-term jobs in nurseries, primary schools and secondary schools. We don't typically have jobs in higher education or college.

Do you have school administrator roles?

If you're looking for teaching or teaching assistant roles, and would also be interested in admin roles, it's worth letting us know. If you're only looking for admin roles, we might not be the place for you as this isn't what we specialize in.

Do you provide any training for teachers?

Yes, we have educators on staff who offer expertise and training to Zen Educate teachers. Regions vary in the training sessions that are required / offered.

Zen Educate is a technology platform to connect teachers with schools directly. Agencies are an expensive middleman between schools and teachers. They have to charge high commissions because their booking procedures are largely manual and run on outdated systems. Because we run more of the process online or on your phone, we create an experience that matches schools and teachers at a fraction of the cost.

What documents do I need to provide in the vetting process?

We'll need a photo for professional use, resume, and a document reflecting your highest level of education. In addition, we'll need a right to work and background check. Your region or school may require other training or documentation - our recruitment team will guide you through each step!
