Year 5 SEN TA 1:1, mornings only (8.30-12.40)

1:1 TA position supporting a child in Y5. This child arrived in the UK in July this year. He has a small amount of English from learning English as a foreign language. He currently has no official diagnosis or EHCP, but has behaviours almost like ASD, so need experience working with social communication difficulties, speech and language, etc. He has no challenging behaviour. He can be quite passive, can wander off, sometimes at lunchtimes. They school have a learning plan & strategies, so your job would be to implement some of this, differentiating some work alongside the class teacher, to help him access some of the curriculum. Sometimes you might print resources from Twinkl if he can’t access the work, for example. This role is definitely until December, but may extend longer, depending on if the school receive the funding. The hours are 8.30 (children arrive 8.40) - 12.40 (end of session). ASAP start, and the school are hoping to meet someone for an interview this Friday/Tuesday/Wednesday ideally, for an immediate start.
