Manford Primary School in Chigwell is seeking a Full-Time Primary Teaching Assistant to work 1:1/1:2 with Year 6 students. This role will primarily be in the classroom, but may also require some intervention work with students who are experiencing difficulties in regulating their behavior.
About the Role:
- Provide support and assistance to Year 6 students in their learning and development.
- Collaborate with the class teacher to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
- Support students in their social and emotional development, helping them to build resilience and confidence.
- Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and parents/guardians.
Requirements:
- Experience working with primary school students is desirable.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum and an understanding of effective teaching strategies.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to the individual needs of students.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards education and supporting students.
Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Safeguarding and First Aid certifications are advantageous.
