Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ECE Paraprofessional to join our nurturing educational school community. This full-time role is integral to supporting the school's mission of fostering a respectful, inclusive, and empowering environment where every child can achieve their full potential. The Daycare Paraprofessional will work closely with teachers, therapists, students, and families to provide personalized assistance that promotes emotional, social, and developmental growth. The position offers a 185-day work calendar, Monday through Friday, with a typical workday of 7.5 hours, and may include occasional evening or weekend hours as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- This role includes personal care involving toileting and diapering with support
- Assist in implementing individualized educational plans (IEPs) and communication support strategies to meet each student's unique needs.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, including tutoring, guiding activities of daily living, and supporting the use of augmentative communication devices.
- Support students with mobility, positioning, transfers, and range of motion exercises, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Supervise and escort students across various educational settings, including community and home environments within Bucks County.
- Monitor and support students during activities, ensuring participation and adherence to behavioral and health protocols.
- Assist in setting up instructional materials and preparing environments conducive to learning and development.
- Communicate regularly with teachers, therapists, and district staff regarding student progress, needs, and interventions.
- Support parental involvement initiatives and maintain detailed records of student performance, strengths, and areas for growth.
- Follow individualized support plans related to behavior, communication, health, and transportation needs.
- Participate in data collection and contribute to the ongoing evaluation of student progress.
- Support safety protocols, including monitoring medical conditions and implementing seizure precautions as necessary.
- Accompany students on transportation and assist with their arrival and departure routines.
