This is a unique health aide and special education support role operating Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Your day begins and ends at the Rio Vista High School Bus Yard. You will accompany a student—alongside a Behavior Aide—on a van from Rio Vista to their school in Sacramento, providing continuous support during transit and throughout the academic day. Key Responsibilities & Requirements: Medical Support: Prior experience with medical procedures is preferred. You will receive 1-2 hours of specialized training from our school nurse on the student's specific health needs, focusing on non-invasive seizure management (no Diastat required). Classroom Assistance: Assist teachers in implementing instructional plans, organizing materials, and managing classroom behavior to maintain a positive, orderly environment that respects all students' diverse needs. Supervision: Supervise students during activities and transitions, ensuring safety and fostering a respectful school culture. Collaboration: Partner with specialists and staff to implement student progress strategies, emphasizing teamwork while maintaining accurate educational records. Who are we looking for? What roles do you cover?

We help Teachers, Teachers Assistants, Teachers Aides, and Paraprofessionals find work. We work with all types of schools and help with short-term, long-term, and permanent roles. Many of our long-term roles convert to permanent roles. We make it far easier than a traditional agency for teachers to convert temporary positions into permanent ones.

Do you have early childhood or K-12 roles?

Yes. We can help with daily subbing and long-term jobs in nurseries, primary schools and secondary schools. We don't typically have jobs in higher education or college.

What areas do you cover?

We work with over 500 schools in Minneapolis St Paul - Minnesota, Denver - Colorado, Los Angeles - California and Phoenix - Arizona, San Diego California, The Bay Area California

Do you have school administrator roles?

If you're looking for teaching or teaching assistant roles, and would also be interested in admin roles, it's worth letting us know. If you're only looking for admin roles, we might not be the place for you as this isn't what we specialize in.

Do you provide any training for teachers?

Yes, we have educators on staff who offer expertise and training to Zen Educate teachers. Regions vary in the training sessions that are required / offered.

How is Zen Educate different from a recruitment agency?

Zen Educate is a technology platform to connect teachers with schools directly. Agencies are an expensive middleman between schools and teachers. They have to charge high commissions because their booking procedures are largely manual and run on outdated systems. Because we run more of the process online or on your phone, we create an experience that matches schools and teachers at a fraction of the cost.

We'll need a photo for professional use, resume, and a document reflecting your highest level of education. In addition, we'll need a right to work and background check. Your region or school may require other training or documentation - our recruitment team will guide you through each step!
