We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sen-school Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team in Liverpool. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs, ensuring their emotional and behavioural requirements are met effectively.
- Assist pupils in regulating emotions, managing behaviour positively, and developing coping strategies and emotional literacy.
- Implement behaviour support plans and strategies consistently, employing calm and restorative approaches to de-escalate challenging behaviour.
- Support pupils during transitions, unstructured times, and challenging situations to promote engagement and wellbeing.
- Encourage independence, self-esteem, and resilience among pupils through personalised interventions.
- Record and report incidents in line with school policies, maintaining accurate and confidential documentation.
- Assist pupils in accessing learning activities under the direction of teachers, adapting resources and approaches to meet individual needs.
- Support classroom management and contribute to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Provide constructive feedback to teachers regarding pupil progress and any barriers to learning.
- Promote the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils at all times, adhering strictly to school safeguarding procedures and reporting concerns appropriately.
- Maintain professional boundaries and uphold confidentiality in all interactions.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, pastoral staff, and external agencies to develop and review individualised support plans.
- Contribute to review meetings and participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance support strategies.
