Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of the Reflection Room, managing both teaching and support staff to deliver consistent and effective support for pupils requiring behavioural and emotional intervention.
- Promote high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, health and safety in accordance with school policies, ensuring a calm and respectful environment that reflects the school’s Catholic ethos.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pupil placements, behaviour, attendance, and progress using the school’s management information system (Arbor).
- Liaise regularly with the SENDCO, pastoral team, and external agencies to coordinate appropriate interventions and ensure the school’s inclusion policy is fulfilled.
- Deliver targeted intervention sessions and small group work to support pupils’ personal development and behaviour management, in line with curriculum and pastoral plans.
- Contribute to safeguarding procedures by staying informed on child protection policies and attending relevant training, ensuring the welfare of all pupils is prioritised.
- Act as a positive role model, demonstrating professional integrity and upholding the Catholic ethos of the school in all interactions with pupils, staff, families, and governors.
- Support the development and implementation of personalised behaviour and learning plans, collaborating with classroom teachers and specialists to meet individual pupil needs.
- Assist in the organisation and delivery of whole-school activities and events, fostering a sense of community and shared values rooted in Gospel principles.

- Regular communication with SLT, Curriculum Leaders, Pastoral Team, and SENDCO to share information, coordinate support, and monitor pupil progress.

- Act as a role model and mentor, providing guidance and support to pupils in potentially stressful or challenging situations.
