Zen Educate US Referral Program – Terms & Conditions
By participating in the Zen Educate Referral Program ("Program"), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:
1. Program Overview
Zen Educate Inc. offers rewards to individuals who successfully refer eligible educators to Zen Educate. There is no limit to the number of people you may refer, nor to the number of rewards you may earn.
2. Eligibility
Referrers must reside in the United States and be at least 18 years old.
Referred individuals must also be located and eligible to work in the United States.
Referrers may not refer themselves.
Referral links or forms cannot be applied retroactively.
3. Successful Referral Criteria
For a referral to be considered successful and eligible for a reward:
The referred person must complete the referral link available at the Zen platform.
The referred individual must be hired by Zen Educate to work as a substitute teacher, teacher, teaching assistant, paraprofessional.
The referred educator must be a new educator that has not previously applied and worked with Zen Educate.
4. Reward Structure
Both the referrer and the referred educator will receive a $100 gross payroll bonus once the referred educator has worked at least three (3) full working shifts. Please note that this payment is considered taxable income and is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local tax withholdings.
Rewards will be distributed within twenty (20) business days after eligibility has been confirmed.
5. Timeframe
Educator Referrals (Teachers & Teaching Assistants):
The three (3) full working shifts requirement must be completed within three (3) months from the date of sign-up. Note: This three-month period excludes school breaks (e.g. summer break).
6. Additional Conditions
If multiple people refer the same individual, only the referrer whose unique referral link or form was used first will be eligible for the reward.
Individuals who have previously applied to Zen Educate prior to receiving a referral link are not eligible as referrals.
If a referred candidate uses multiple referral links, only the referrer associated with the application that results in a successful hire will receive the reward.
Zen Educate reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Referral Program at any time without prior notice.
Qualifying Work Definitions
For the purposes of this Program:
A full day of work is defined as a minimum of 6.5 hours worked in a single booking.
A workday is considered completed only when the shift has been approved and recorded in the official school timesheet submitted to Zen Educate.
Eligibility for the Incentive is determined based on approved platform records and submitted school timesheets.
Processing timelines may vary slightly depending on timesheet submission timing.
8. Platform Records and Determination of Eligibility
Eligibility for the Program and incentive payments will be determined based on official records within the Zen Educate platform, including verification timestamps, approved bookings, and school-submitted timesheets. These records serve as the final source of truth for determining eligibility and payment qualification.
9. General Conditions
A. Disqualification
The Company reserves the right to review, withhold, or revoke the Incentive if it determines that an educator:
engaged in fraudulent activity,
manipulated bookings or timesheets,
violated the Educator Agreement, or
otherwise acted contrary to the intent of the Program.
B. Modification or Cancellation
The Company reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Program at any time, for any reason and without prior notice.
Such changes will not affect educators who have already fully satisfied the verification and work requirements prior to the modification.
C. Tax Liability
The educator is solely responsible for any federal, state, or local taxes associated with receiving the Incentive. The Incentive will be reported to the appropriate tax authorities as required by law.
D. Final Authority
All decisions made by the Company regarding interpretation of these Terms and Conditions, eligibility, and qualification for the Incentive are final and binding.
E. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
