What inspired your move to London?
I always wanted to make the move to a bigger, brighter and busier city, and London always stood out as one of the best in the world for this. The idea of a challenge and being introduced to new environments, while also having access to the rest of Europe so easily, made it the best fit.
What’s one of your favourite teaching moments in London?
My first ever day of supply, and I quickly noticed the differences but also the similarities between home (NZ) and the UK.
What are some of your top London recommendations?
KK McCools, The Devonshire, Bao, Dim Sum Duck and Smokin' Goat, to name just a few - Anywhere in Soho
Where is your favourite summer destination?
Portugal, but can't decide between Porto and Lisbon. Both unreal
Where was your most memorable winter holiday?
Farmhouse stay in the Cotswolds. Watching the All Blacks Rugby Team play in Turin, Italy, was a great experience with mates.
What advice do you have for teachers about to make the move to the UK?
Be open, be enthusiastic and embrace the changes you will face.
